GTC Open House Expo

GTC Open House Expo

GTC Cable Processing Solutions held it's first ever open house exhibition since it started trading in October 2005.
The exhibition took place at the GTC premises situated at 35 Fourth Street, Wynberg, Sandton, Johannesburg.

Of the 155 companies that were invited to attend the exhibition, 55 actually visited. This represents a visitor turnout of some 33% of target. The member of GTC viz. Robert Champion, Steve Gerber & Dirk Trytsman expressed their satisfaction with the turnout for the event, this in light of the fact that an exhibition of this nature never before been attempted here in Johannesburg, South Africa. "Consideration must also be given to the fact that GTC is a relatively new company", says Robert Champion.

Of the nine (9) suppliers that GTC currently deal with, two (2) had company representatives present at the exhibition. Viz. Schleuniger & PAWO.

Mr. Eric van Dommelen of Schleuniger AG together with the GTC team assisted in taking care of visitors interested in their equipment. Customers were pleased to see that some overseas suppliers made the effort to have representation for their products.

Mr. Heinz Bamert of PAWO was also present to introduce customers to his company's products and to demonstrate the LPC unit that was imported for the occassion.

The exhibition had mainly Schleuniger's products on display - this being due to the long-standing relationship that the members have enjoyed with Schleuniger AG & Schleuniger Gmbh. Visitors were pleased to be introduced to new products as well as to get the opportunity to view the many existing products currently on the market.

The show turned out to be a huge success and established GTC Cable Processing Solutions firmly in the South African market.

The following nine (9) suppliers' products were on show at the exhibition:

Schleuniger AG
Schleuniger Automation
SLE Electronics
PAWO
Ulmer
Eidos
Pro eff
Ondal
Wezag

GTC Cable Processing Solutions intends to have an exhibition of this nature every two (2) years. The next exhibition date will be announced in the 'Future events' column on GTC's website.
